Terms & Conditions

Welcome to Meet A Sikh. These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Meet A Sikh mobile application and website (the "Service"), operated by MEET A SIKH LTD (company number 15039721), registered at 86-90 Paul Street, London, England, EC2A 4NE ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

1. Eligibility

To use Meet A Sikh, you must:

• Be at least 18 years old
• Be legally single (not currently married) and free to enter into a relationship
• Not have been convicted of a felony or required to register as a sex offender in any jurisdiction
• Provide accurate, truthful information when creating your account
• Not have been previously banned from the Service

We reserve the right to refuse or terminate accounts that don't meet these criteria.

2. Your account and verification

You're responsible for keeping your login details secure and for all activity on your account. As part of sign-up, we verify accounts using phone number confirmation and a selfie photo, which is reviewed manually by a member of our team to help confirm profile authenticity. Verification helps keep the community safe, but we cannot guarantee that every user's profile information is accurate, and you should always exercise your own judgement when interacting with other users.

3. Subscriptions and billing

Certain features of the Service require a paid subscription. Where you subscribe:

• Payment is processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, depending on your device
• Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before renewal
• You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID or Google Play account settings
• Refunds are handled according to Apple's and Google's respective refund policies — we are not able to directly issue refunds for purchases made through the app stores
• Prices may change from time to time; we'll give notice of any changes affecting active subscriptions where required

4. Code of conduct

When using Meet A Sikh, you agree not to:

• Post false, misleading, or impersonating information
• Post content that is abusive, harassing, hateful, obscene, or discriminatory
• Use the Service to solicit money, advertise, or promote a business
• Contact or attempt to contact other users outside the app for purposes unrelated to genuine dating/relationship intentions, in a way that violates their privacy
• Upload photos that aren't genuinely of you, or that violate any third party's rights
• Use bots, scrapers, or any automated means to access the Service
• Harass, stalk, or threaten any other user

We may remove content, suspend, or terminate accounts that violate this code of conduct, at our discretion.

5. Safety and your interactions with other users

Meet A Sikh helps facilitate introductions between users, but we do not conduct background checks beyond our verification process, and we cannot guarantee the conduct, intentions, or accuracy of information provided by any user. You are solely responsible for your interactions with other users, including any decision to meet in person. We strongly recommend meeting in public places, telling a friend or family member of your plans, and using your own judgement at all times. We are not liable for the conduct of any user, on or off the Service.

6. Intellectual property

All content on the Service, other than content you submit, is owned by or licensed to us and protected by intellectual property law. By posting content (such as photos or profile text), you grant us a licence to use, display, and distribute that content within the Service for the purpose of operating and promoting it.

7. Termination

You may delete your account at any time through the app. We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, if we believe your account poses a risk to other users, or as required by law. Certain provisions of these Terms (including liability and dispute resolution) survive termination.

8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee that you'll find a match, that other users' information is accurate, or that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the Service is limited to the amount you've paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud, where such limitation isn't permitted by law.

9. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll post the updated version here with a new "last updated" date, and where changes are material, we'll take reasonable steps to notify you.
